My Nutrilite Joint Health Review – Worth All These Money?

My Nutrilite Joint Health Review - Worth All These Money?

It’s time for my Nutrilite Joint Health review, a supplement that makes big promises from the start. According to the label, it claims to improve joint flexibility in just one week.

To be honest, I didn’t really believe that, so that’s exactly why I bought it – to see for myself. I’ve tried lots of supplements, and none of the managed to improve my joint flexibility so fast. Some did, but not that quickly.

So I wasn’t too confident about this supplement just because of these “suspicious” promises it makes. But it has some pretty good ingredients, so who knows? I tried it myself so that I can get a real idea about how it works.

Note: This review is based only on my experience with this product, so it won’t necessarily agree with other reviews you find. I am not trying to praise/criticize the product or its company, I am simply telling my opinion about it.

So Let’s Get To The Review

My Nutrilite Joint Health Review - Worth All These Money?Full Name: Joint Health from Nutrilite

Quantity : 240 tablets

Best Actual Price: $63.75

Where I Bought It From: Ebay

Designed For: I would say rather OA. It promotes joint flexibility, which appears mostly in osteoarthritis. Also, it’s based on glucosamine and chondroitin, which are the best ingredients for OA and they’re not that effective in inflammatory arthritis.

So I wouldn’t really recommend it for RA or other form of auto-immune arthritis. It doesn’t really decrease inflammation, so it wouldn’t be very effective.

My Rating: 6 out of 10

Worth Buying?: Most likely not. It does work, but not as fast as they say. I noticed some improvement after about 3 weeks, not 7 days as they claim. So I was kind of disappointed at this chapter.

The supplement itself has great ingredients, but it costs way too much overall.

So that’s why I basically not recommend it, because you can get something much cheaper that does the same thing. Nutrilite’s supplement is kind of overpriced, that’s what I think. So I’m not planning to buy it again very soon.

What I Liked About It

  • Great ingredients overall, and most of them have really high doses
  • It uses the strong form of glucosamine (sulfate)
  • Unlike most glucosamine pills, these ones are light and quite easy to swallow
  • It really worked in the end

What I Didn’t Like About It

  • Extremely expensive overall, both for what it contains and for how it works
  • I noticed an improvement after 3 weeks, not after 1 as they claimed
  • You need to take 4 pills per day, which is a lot
  • One bottle only lasts 60 days (that’s not bad, but it’s a short period considering the price)

The Ingredients – Looking Good

Though I wasn’t too confident in Nutrilite’s supplement, I was pleasantly surprised by its ingredient list. It’s not one of those products with original ingredients, but I didn’t really need one like that.

I’m more or less familiar with each of the substances inside, and overall I can say that the ingredient list looks great. It’s pretty classic, but at first sight, it looks really valuable. So let’s take the by turn:

– Vitamin C (30 mg) – it’s an antioxidant that prevents additional damage caused by oxidative stress. Vitamins aren’t very common in joint supplements, but they are surely not bad

– Glucosamine Sulfate (1500 mg) – this is the major component for improving joint flexibility and rebuilding cartilage. The daily dose is great, but I really appreciate they’re using the strong form of glucosamine, the sulfate

– Proprietary Blend (1700 mg) – this is a combination between OptiMSM, Chondroitin Sulfate, Boron Glycinate and 2 other substances that aren’t that major. These ingredients are indeed very useful for joint pain, especially the first 2 ones, which are very popular. The only problem is that I wish they stated the real dose of each, not just the final dose

5-LOXIN Boswellia Serrata Extract (100 mg) – this could look like an original ingredient, but I’ve seen it before it at least one supplement. Boswellia is a great anti-inflammatory, so it can decrease swollen joints. That’s not a major problem in OA, but it does exist. 100 is also not a big dose, but I believe it’s enough for osteoarthritis

There’s also Acerola Concentrate and Citrus Biflavonoids, but both of them are in lower doses, so I don’t think they can do much. The first one is a cherry extract that fights inflammation, while the second one promotes joint health. That’s what I found about them.

Conclusion: The ingredients look really good at first sight. I just wish they mentioned the quantity of MSM and chondroitin sulfate, because I can’t guess it from those 1700 mg of proprietary blend. But other than that, thumbs up for these ingredients.

My Experience With This Supplement

My Background: A few years ago, I developed a secondary osteoarthritis in my right knee, thanks to the RA I had for several years. I still had enough cartilage left, so the pain wasn’t necessarily terrible.

My Nutrilite Joint Health Review - Worth All These Money? My biggest problem was the loss of flexibility, because I had trouble standing, walking and doing every activity that required moving.

After a while, I also developed some problems in my other knee, but things were somehow similar. The pain wasn’t so big, but the loss of mobility was. So that’s what I was hoping to solve with Nutrilite’s supplement – an improvement in my knee flexibility, because I really needed that.

First Week: I listened to the label and I took 2 pills twice a day. It was a large amount, but the pills weren’t very hard to swallow. However, after about 7 days I couldn’t feel an improvement in my knees.

The pain wasn’t as strong as before, that’s true. But it wasn’t very strong even before, so I don’t know. But when it comes to flexibility, it wasn’t any better, that’s something I can tell for sure. So this supplement didn’t really keep its promise, because it didn’t work in one week.

Next Weeks: I continued to take the pills regularly, just like the label recommended. Fortunately, I noticed that after about 3 weeks, my knees were starting to get better. And this time, I’m talking in terms of pain, not of flexibility.

They were feeling stronger even when I was standing. I could also walk inside the house for a while, which I couldn’t do before. So it took this supplement about 3 weeks to achieve that, which is a lot more than what it promised.

Conclusion: Nutrilite did work, but not as it promised. It improved the shape and the flexibility of my knees, but I needed about 3 weeks to see an effect. So in my case it did work, but not as good as it claimed.

Considering it cost me over $60, I’m not sure it was worth it (I could get something much cheaper instead).

PRO #1 – Easy To Swallow Pills

I tend to have a problem with glucosamine supplements from this point of view. I don’t know if you’re familiar with them, but most brand produce really large pills, that are pretty thick and heavy.

You can imagine that it’s not easy to swallow a pill like that, on the contrary. And when you have to take 3 of those larger pills per day, things get even worse.

So I really have to praise Nutrilite’s supplement from this point of view. It’s one of the few glucosamine products that I saw that has decent pills. They look like the typical glucosamine tablets, but they’re a lot lighter and smaller.

Also, they don’t taste badly either, so you can swallow them without any problem.

So I have nothing to complain at this chapter, even though I would in most supplements. That’s why Nutrilite gets a green point from me. They showed you can create easy-to-swallow pills even when you’re working with glucosamine and chondroitin. So most brands should take them as an example at this chapter.

CON #1 – Didn’t Keep Its Promise

As I said above, Nutrilite’s supplement did improve the flexibility of my knees. While I was on these pills, I could see an effect.

But there’s one problem – I needed a long time to see that improvement. Something like 3 weeks. However, the label promises you would see an improvement in 7 days, which seems a lot exaggerated.

3 weeks is a lot more than 7 days, isn’t it?

I mean, I tried lots of glucosamine supplements, and some of them were really good. Yes, part of these supplements did decrease my pain starting from the first week. So they only needed a few days to start working.

However, none of them managed to improve the condition of my knees so fast. None of the increased my flexibility in one week. I don’t even think that’s possible, or at least I’ve never experienced that. That’s why I was really skeptical about what Nutrilite promised, because I knew that was pretty hard to happen.

So from this point of view, I can’t say I’m satisfied. This supplement did do its job at the end, but it didn’t do it as fast as it claimed. So I can’t say it kept its promises.

Also, there’s one thing I need to point out. I paid a lot of money on it (about $60), so I can’t say it worked faster than other supplements. Yes, it worked better than most, but I know a few that cost half and work just as good. So that’s why I was somehow disappointed.

CON #2 – Only Lasts 60 Days

That’s not necessarily a downside, but I just wanted to mention that because a lot of people could skip this detail. I did too, so I know.

The front label of this supplement mentions that there are 240 pills inside. So far, so good. But and it also mentions that you have to take 2 pills twice a day. Now, the thing is that many people may skip the last part, just like I did.

So I first thought that you only need to take 2 pills per day. That would mean that one bottle lasts for 120 days, which wasn’t that bad. But once I got my order and took a closer look, I realized I hadn’t noticed the last part. So if you take 4 pills per day, one bottle is meant to last only 60 days.

Things don’t look that good anymore, do them? That’s because one bottle costs around $60, so that would mean about $30 per month. Now, that’s not a huge price, but what if these pills don’t help you?

There’s a difference between buying a 1 month supply for $30 and buying a 2 month supply for $60. That especially if it’s your first time trying it.

So I just thought you should know that, before you make the purchase. But that’s only if you are convinced to buy this supplement, because I personally would not recommend it (but more on that later).

CON #3 – 4 Pills Per Day

No matter how small or easy to swallow they are, 4 pills per day is still a high number.

You may not think it’s an important factor, but I kind of try to avoid supplements that require more than 3 pills per day.

1. It’s really uncomfortable. You usually have to take them separately, at different hours. So that would mean taking a pill 4 times a day, which is a lot. I would always forget about one pill everyday.

Fortunately, things aren’t that bad when it comes to Nutrilite’s supplement, because it recommends taking 2 pills together. So that would mean taking them only 2 times per day.

But the problem in this case is that it’s hard to swallow 2 pills one after the other. Yes, Nutrilite’s pills aren’t the typical glucosamine pills, they’re not large and heavy. But they’re still pills, so it’s not easy to take 2 together.

2. Secondly, I don’t think my liver loves it when I take so many pills daily. I know the dose inside isn’t too high, but every pill contains certain substances that are not active ingredients.

And I don’t think my liver likes being bombed with all those “useless” substances. You don’t have to agree with me here, but that’s what I think. And to me, it makes sense.

So that’s a pretty important downside for me, when it comes to Nutrilite’s supplement. Even though the pills are really nice in size, the fact that you have to take 4 per day really bothers me.

CON #4 – It Costs A Fortune

That’s by far the biggest drawback of Nutrilite’s product. At least that’s how I see things, as a person from the middle class, who’s not very rich but affords a decent living.

So in my opinion, this is one of the most expensive glucosamine supplements that I know. I am aware the glucosamine products aren’t very cheap, especially the ones containing the sulfate form. But compared to others, paying $60 for one bottle seems way too much to me.

Now, I know that one bottle contains 240 pills. That may seem a lot, but if you take 4 per day, that would be around 60 days. So one bottle doesn’t last more than 2 months, which isn’t even that much.

The funny thing is that there are no original ingredients in these pills. So they can’t use that as an excuse for the high price. There are some good substances, but that’s not a reason to be so expensive.

So I personally would not afford buying this supplement constantly, not even every 2 months. It’s simply very expensive. I admit that it does it job, but it doesn’t do it straight away. It doesn’t even work so fast as it says, so I can’t really understand why it literally costs a fortune, in terms of supplements.

That’s why I don’t have a good opinion about this supplement, mostly because of its price. It’s way too expensive overall, that’s what I think.

My Final Verdict – Is It Worth All These Money?

Short answer: Not really. It’s an effective supplement, but it doesn’t work as fast as it promised. At least in my case, it didn’t. It has potent ingredients and it works in the end, but it has a few major downsides that kind of disappointed me.

So overall I think it’s very overpriced for what it does. It really costs a lot more than most supplements I know, and in my opinion, it doesn’t have a proper reason.

Would I buy it again?: Most likely not. Though I can’t say it disappointed me, because it improved the shape of me knees. But it promised to work in 7 days, and I could only see a change after about 3 weeks.

So that’s not what the label promised.

However, if it cost less, I might have bought it again, despite that “misleading” promise. It’s the price that really bothers me, because I don’t really think it’s worth so much money.

I know another supplement that did pretty much the same, and it cost me a lot less. So it’s up to you what you choose, but I don’t really recommend Nutrilite Joint Health just because of its huge price.
